The evolution of the stem cell revolution
Even though the medical significance of elevated circulating stemcells is well established and constantly growing, all of the stem cellboosting drugs or food supplements have a serious weakness, - non ofthem are able to ensure a steady supply of elevated level of stemcells in the blood. As a medical researcher, I write here in my blog about the questionsand the conclusions I've had over the years, resulting in astate-of-the-art premium Stem Cell Wellness food supplement line,StemDetox, StemEssentials, StemGlyco, and StemSupreme.
Granulocyte and granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor(G-CSF & GM-CSF) have been used in hematology for over two decades tomobilize donor adult (hematopoietic) stem cells [1, 2]. A concertedeffort is made today to use these well established stem cellmobilizers to stimulate post-injury healing processes. The alternative medical field came out years ago with the first foodsupplement to enhance the number of circulating stem cells. Themanufacturer of StemEnhance claims that it enhances the circulating stem cell count by up to an extra 25% for a few hours. Maybe it’strue in some people maybe not. The research data is not conclusive. However, many of us would like to see a research study that shows the permanently elevated stem cell levels, even after weeks or months ofStemEnhance use. (Let me know immediately if you have seen a studylike this!)I personally took StemEnhance for months, and while I have noticed some improvements at the beginning, I’ve failed to experience acontinuous improvement. Overall, it seems, that after an initialspike of elevated stem cells, the higher stem cell numbers couldn’t be maintained over weeks and months, even if I took 15 or 20 StemEnhancecaps per day (instead of the recommended min 2 capsules per day).
I have been involved with stem cell research and the development ofstem cell boosters for many years but I consider the biggest failureof ALL of the currently available stem cell boosters or colonystimulators is that their effect is short-lived.
G-CSF can’t be used for longer than a week [3], according to therecommended use, due to increased risk of bone marrow depletion [4]. At the same time, the currently available stem cell boosting foodsupplements are not giving us much hope either to solve the question of sustainable use. And without a sustainable use, we’re not gettingthe benefits of elevated stem cells. While a recently published study confirms Stem-Kline’s (it’s another food supplement, similar in action to StemEnhance) great effects to elevate the circulating stem cells, the excitement switches to certaindisappointments as the stem cell numbers fell sharply by the 14th day, realistically resulting in zero or close to zero stem cell elevation by day 18th or 20th, even though the volunteers of the study weretaking the suggested two capsules in the morning and two capsules in the evening [5].What is the point in taking any capsules if after three weeks the effects drop to zero or close to zero? (Again, let me know immediatelyif you have seen a study proving the sustainable, beneficial use of Stem-Kline or any other stem cell boosting food supplement.)
My conclusion is that so far there are no products out there to yieldelevated circulating stem cells without the product becoming eitherinefficient within hours or days or without the depletion of the bonemarrow. Again, show me any scientific data that proofs me wrong!
Maybe an honest suggestion on the part of the manufacturers ofStem-Kline would be to take Stem-Kline for three weeks first, then athree weeks break would come when the food supplement is not taken(and the bone marrow has time to recover) and then the supplementwould be taken for the next three weeks. In another words, analternate on and off suggestion might ensure that at least from timeto time the stem cells are elevated to 50% or so in the case ofStem-Kline - for the long term. Maybe a routine like this would bemore logical and more 'scientific' however it would obviously cut intothe profits as the company would loose 50% of its income. I assumethat StemEnhance would struggle with the same 'take only 50% of whatwe've suggested so far" message, especially, since StemEnhance isbased on a multilevel marketing structure and everybody is moreinterested in the bottom line than solid science or medical logic.
It's a very sad state we're in. It seems that there is a greatuncertainty surrounds all of these companies since either they don'tshare the real, measured (if they have that measurement), elevatedstem cell numbers with their customers (and just claim that 'sorry, wejust don't know') or they fail to invest in researching anddocumenting the elevated stem cell numbers over time even though thetechnology is available. If the second is true, than the ignorance istremendous and tells a lot about the integrity of these companies.
It seems that the more curious doctors and anti-aging enthusiasts, whoreally want to know what's going with the stem cells will lead us outof this great fog enveloping the so called "stem cell boosting" foodsupplement industry. With the commercial availability of the StemCell Test at www.stemcellcount.com, nobody could hide behind an 'Idon't know' excuse!
I developed the new stem cell line, including StemDetox,StemEssentials, StemGlyco and StemSupreme, to have finally on themarket the first holistic Stem Cell Wellness and Telomere lengtheningproduct group.Instead of hitting and pushing the bone marrow with a few, powerful herbal ingredients (or synthetic drugs, like G-CSF) for getting morestem cells, this new Stem Cell Wellness approach actually nurtures the bone marrow. It's a novel concept and a 'world’s first'.
The protocol starts with StemDetox that was specifically developed todetoxify the bone marrow, and consequently raise the base-line stemcell production. It’s well established that every tissue and organfunctions better if the toxic load is lower in that particular tissueor organ. The same should be true for the bone marrow. We don’t haveyet study results as the research is ongoing at the moment. I willwrite here in this blog once the date becomes available.
StemEssentials and StemGlyco were developed to support the developmentof new stem cells in the bone marrow and enhance the cell to cellcommunication. StemEssentials has 30 daily packets that contain theimportant daily vitamins, balanced amino acids and Omega 3 fish oil.Imagine a glyconutritional dietary supplement when you blend AloaVera, Ambrotose from Mannatech, D+Galactose (the ‘Brain Sugar), Larchtree extract (arabinogalactans), Inulin (pre-biotic), Organic Stevia, and Silica and you would get StemGlyco. Actually, StemGlyco is betterthan all of the other glyconutrients since the typical ratio amongthese fascinating sugars have been changed in a way that D+Galactosehas the highest percentage in the mix. To appreciate the power ofD+Galactose, visit www.galactose.org to learn more. Glyconutrients inStemGlyco™ are simple sugars (monosaccharides) that won’t create aninsulin spike. They are combined with proteins and fats to createglycoproteins and glycolipids that coat the surface of nearly everycell in the body to support cell-cell signaling, immune response, endocrine (glandular) systems and stem cell growth. Could it be thatthe hidden success of Ambrotose from Mannatech is its capacity toactivate somewhat the stem cells, yet, nobody talks about it? Just a thought.
I could go even further. What if most of the greatest ingredientshave one thing in common - all of them raise the stem cell levels! Dofish oil elevate stem cell? You bet! How about reishi or goji? Theanswer is a huge yes - yes. And vitamin D? Of course! All of these(and more) are in our Stem Cell Wellness line of products. The StemSupremeMorning and StemSupremeNight are the absolute leadersamong all of the stem cell enhancing products. Just glance theingredient list to understand why. Instead of the skimpy “fewingredient approach” (that generates the highest profit), myphilosophy is based on ‘abundance’, even if the profit margin is verylow. Abundance, quality and honesty are our trademarks.
